YAFP (Yet Another Food Post)

I actually started this post about two weeks ago…uploaded pictures, started on captions, and then I just stopped working on it. :|

Anyway, I love food. If you don’t know me (and you should by now), you will know that I will practically eat anything. Anything. There are few things that I absolutely refuse to eat, and they are uncommon enough for me not to have to face them in my everyday life. I’m also not going to tell you what they are so you can’t bully me with them.

That time I went to Toronto and subsequently got really sick

Whoa, look at me, writing so many blog posts! This is story of the time I (and Ashley) went to Toronto for the very first time. It was my first trip out of Ottawa since I’d moved here. Other than Ottawa, the furthest east I’d been was to New York in summer 2008, but I was only there for 3 days and spent a few other days in Connecticut visiting family friends. I had heard that Toronto was a lot like Vancouver; very ~urban~, a lot of night life, etc. Personally, I think it’s a combination of Vancouver and New York; it has the rushed, city-like feeling of NY, combined with Asians of Vancouver. (Don’t give me that look, there are millions of you and you know it).

I love you, T&T. *smooches*

When people say, “You don’t know what you’ve got til it’s gone”, no one ever realizes that it applies to grocery stores as well. There are fucking a bajillion (or 5) T&T stores in Vancouver. Ottawa? One. It’s out by the AIRPORT, which, as airports usually are, IS IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE. Waiiiiiiiiiiii :(
